Trends in Organizational Ethical Behavior Today, value-motivated ethical leadership is needed. Today the world has such a diverse workforce and managers must develop and empower workers to achieve organizational goals. One develops one's ethics from one's culture, ethnic origin and religious beliefs. This article discusses the importance of ethics and technology in managerial decision making and work-related stress. The Influence of Ethics on Decision Making Ethics is about making choices with integrity. Once you've made a choice, the future will be different, sometimes radically different, and that's why ethical decision making is so important. The more difficult the ethical choice one faces, the more discussion and communication with others is necessary regarding the dilemma. Making ethical decisions is critical to good business. Ethics can have a great influence on decision making in the workplace. Ethical behavior in the workplace is behavior that is accepted as morally right, rather than wrong. Unethical behavior can be considered illegal or simply against society's norms. Employees are faced with ethical decisions in the workplace every day, whether they realize it or not. A cashier must decide whether or not it is ethically or morally right to steal money from the cash register, or even merchandise. A retail store owner must make a decision about what is a reasonable price to charge a trusting customer. A CEO must decide how to use all the power he has. According to Berenbeim (2006), ethics programs are designed and implemented by lawyers and auditors. These lawyers and auditors seek to minimize the risk of harmful behavior through the institutionalization of the system...at the heart of the paper...ethics and corporate social responsibility.
