From Mardi Gras and the Mardi Gras tree to the historic streetcars to the beautiful architecture left behind by generations before, the rich history of New Orleans is something I do treasure as I am passionate about exploring, learning and interacting with other cultures. The TIDES program at Tulane would allow me to more deeply explore this rich culture and history and learn more about the city that is an epicenter of both the visual and performing arts. The many galleries and museums that New Orleans has to offer would also allow me to further explore my interest in the visual arts. Additionally, I could further pursue my passion for ceramics in Newcomb Arts
