AT& T is the largest communications company in the world. The Company is the leading U.S. provider of wireless, high-speed Internet access, local and long-distance voice services, and directory publishing and advertising services. They have even expanded to include entertainment with television services called UVERSE TV. With the numerous successes of this media giant, its depiction of the highlighted practice of some successful organizational behavior concepts reveals a clear understanding of leadership. AT&T has demonstrated success through effective organizational behaviors that include attention to organizational structure, organizational culture, and communication. Organizational culture is the issue that keeps a company intact. This is what distinguishes each company from the other. Organizational culture is also what makes employees want to maintain employment with a particular employer and have a sense of pride in the work they do. I believe AT&T is a company that invests heavily in its employees. According to the company's careers website, AT&T has been named: "America's Most Admired Telecommunications Company" by Fortune magazine nine out of the last 11 years and "World's Most Admired Telecommunications Company" eight out of the last 10 years. Equality Index from the Human Rights Campaign, receiving a perfect score for fair treatment of GLBT employees (2004-2006). The company offers great benefits intended to help keep employees motivated to succeed. Through random surveys and employee satisfaction questionnaires, the company is able to better focus on employee satisfaction. The company website provides evidence of employee satisfaction.
