Organization: Organizational Principles for the Technical Professional Organization is a broad topic that can be broken down into several subcategories. When we think about organization, we think of neat shelves with individually labeled bins for all our knick-knacks, books and magazines or a closet full of neatly folded clothes and shoes meticulously arranged by color, function and style. These are examples of tangible items and represent only a small cross-section of the organization. Even intangibles such as time, relationships, information, and finances must be organized in a way that enhances our ability to be efficient, effective, and ultimately successful. In this article I will explore three concepts of organization; Time organization, workspace organization, and personal finance organization. In my opinion, these topics will ultimately prove to be the most relevant to the success of a technical professional.
