For me, being able to take care of myself with minimal assistance until old age is optimal aging. However, it is important to note that this may change as I get older and gain more experience. Following a healthy diet, preventing disease and feeling good thanks to proper nutrition will be the key to aging well. Getting my degree and working in my dream job are all essential to gaining life experience. I would like to get to retirement so I can spend more time with family and volunteer to give back to the community. Being able to do all the activities and travel that I love to do now will still be very important to me as I get older. More importantly, learning to maintain a positive attitude for any illness or obstacle I face will be vital. Your aging attitude or mindset can influence how you age. With a poor mentality people tend not to take care of themselves, simply because they don't care. When you have a positive outlook, even in difficult times, you try to take care of your well-being.
