Intimacy is a sense of closeness one might feel for another person in one's life. Intimacy is not strictly romantic or essential sexual, there is platonic intimacy. In regards to an intimate relationship with another, one might feel the ability to be connected or open with another both physically and emotionally. Michelle said about intimacy that it is the ability to "bar your soul and body to another human being" while Tony laughed, embarrassed by the question and explained that intimacy is "emotional security with your partner".
