On November 17, 1957 the police arrived at Ed Gein's home, they suspected him of robbing the local hardware because he was found loitering in the store and being the last person seen in the store. When the police entered the house they found chairs, sofas, lampshades, a bowl made from a skull, a belt of female nipples and a costume made of human skin. “Edward Theodore Gein was born August 27, 1906, in La Crosse, Wisconsin” (A+E Networks). Ed never had a normal childhood, a childhood where your parents love you and you live normally. And he grew up in a household run by his mother who was a "religious fanatic" (A+E Networks). His mother raised Ed and Henry according to her beliefs and ideals and also told them that "if they had sex before marriage they would go to hell" (Bell and Bardsley). George Gein, their father, was an alcoholic and became angry and violent when he was drunk. George had no role when it came to raising the children there, the mother "seeing him as a worthless creature, unfit to hold a job, let alone look after her own children" (Bell and Bardsley). “Augusta, their mother, tried to keep Ed and Henry away from the world, but this was unsuccessful because they had to go to school” (Bell and Bardsley). Her mother opened a grocery store in La Crosse to get away from the city and improve the family's life. With the money he had saved they moved to a farm in Plainfield, Wisconsin, the place where Ed would commit his crimes. During his adolescence Ed was constantly bullied and had no friends, people in his class thought he had feminine qualities because of the way he behaved. Another reason why he couldn't make friends was because if he tried to make friends his mother would scold him and punish him... middle of paper... guilty has several websites dedicated to him and has "groupies". Ed it also became the inspiration for Leather Face or better known as the movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre. So Ed Gein's epic story comes to an end. People know that they don't really remember the victims, but they will always remember the killer part of people in today's society think that the Texas chainsaw massacre is unreal, but they actually don't know that it was based on Ed Gein and his gruesome acts "Eddie Gein - Buffalo Bill and Psycho - Crime Library". on truTV.com.
