(Up to 10 points) Human Resources Management is the title given to define the formal systems set up for the management of people within a company. The responsibilities of a human resources manager are multiple. These responsibilities typically fall into three main areas: employee compensation, staffing, and job definition and/or design. The purpose of human resource management is to maximize a company's ability by improving its employees. This is unlikely to change in the future, although the pace of business continues to change. Edward L. Gubman stated in the Journal of Business Strategy: "HR's fundamental mission will always be to acquire, develop, and retain talent; align the workforce with the business; and provide excellent contributions to the business. These three challenges will never change." Human resource management is not just for large companies, small businesses also need a strong human resources department. Although they don't have the same amount of volume as larger companies, the decision made by the HR department of small businesses can have a more important effect on the health of the company. Irving Burstiner was quoted in The Small Business Handbook: “Hiring the right people and training them well can often mean the difference between eliminating minimal livelihoods and steady business growth. A code is a form of internal legislation within the company that binds its employees, with specific sanctions in case of violation of the code.
