Organizational Leadership As a valued and experienced employee, you are given the rare opportunity to determine the type of leadership position that best suits him or her. To some extent this opportunity would be a dream come true. As an experienced employee, you should be familiar with the organization's vision and mission. You also need to be familiar with and acclimated to the company's daily operations and processes. Identifying your attributes will help you better define your role, which will bring greater benefits to the success of the organization. When identifying your strengths and weaknesses, a personal leadership style will help in the processes of defining which position will be perfect for. Therefore, presented this opportunity seems great, but choosing a career is a tricky business. Where do we start? Is there just one career that would be the perfect match or are there dozens out there waiting to be discovered? “More often than not, if you choose a career that doesn't fit your personality, you become confused, unhappy, and burned out” (Lorenz, 2004). Nobody wants a job they don't like. People want to enjoy going to work because in most cases it takes up a quarter of the day. Settling into the right career can be as critical to your happiness as choosing the right person in a relationship. But with any relationship, there are no right or wrong answers.
