Change ManagementIntroductionThe need for growth must occur in any organization to remain a viable entity. Organizational change is inevitable. Like everything in life, markets and cultures change and require constant attention and preparation. To be successful in any market, an organization must be able to transform based on the needs of the market. CrysTel is no stranger to change. CrysTel is a telecommunications company with more than 2,500 employees and gross revenue of approximately $200 million per year. Products included in the service list include data cables, wireless solutions, and network development. The product profile includes data cables, wireless solutions and network development. Given the nature of the business, it is likely that CrysTel will make regular technological and administrative changes. In a very competitive market like the communications market, there is always a need for change. The challenges in the reorganization mainly concern the Sales/Delivery and Marketing sections. Change is never an easy task, especially within organizations because there are so many people involved. Resistance to change and a lack of flexibility endanger an organization's progress by limiting its powers. This could lead to stagnation and even decline. An organization forced to change due to internal or external circumstances and the inherent flexibility of the organization could determine its future. Implications of Change Several areas of change are needed within the CrysTel communications organization. When the need arises to develop an organization, it must first analyze itself to determine the area that most needs change. The type of survey that should be conducted should analyze not only job satisfaction… middle of paper… who most needs change. The systems management change model would help the company to focus on the further development of future products and the direction in which the company is going. Change within CrysTel will take time. Opening lines of communication will also be essential to developing lasting change. To ensure these types of changes are effective, quarterly surveys will be necessary to understand the ongoing development of the organization. No matter what the type of industry, change management is an essential component in today's ever-changing business environment. Reference: Gonzalea, R. & Pollar, O., (2001).
