Stations were inundated on Saturday mornings with action cartoons with commercial tie-ins, such as toys or video games. The most successful cartoon of the 1980s was He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. He-Man not only dominated ratings but also toy sales. Other notable cartoons with merchandise connections include Transformers, GIJoe, and The Smurfs. The Eighties also saw a number of old cartoons revamped. The most popular of these reworked cartoons is the Pink Panther. There were also some good new cartoons, the most popular of which is Ducktales. Despite the number of cartoons and variety, ratings continued to decline. Then NBC aired a show called Good Morning Miss Bliss, that name was later changed to Saved by the Bell.
