Leaders are often portrayed as heroes and role models, but there is also a dark side to being a leader. Adolph Hitler was one of the strongest leaders of the last 100 years, if not the strongest leader of all time. One man had the ability to lead a country, with a population of 20 million people, against the entire world in a vision he saw fit. A man leading Germany out of economic depression after living through World War I was an incredible feat. This is in fact what all leaders strive to be. Hitler is one of the best role models for inspiring leaders. He displayed some of the strongest qualities of being a leader, which included the following: vision, eloquence, charisma, strong will, and tyranny. Vision is how someone conceives something. All leaders must be goal-oriented, and Hitler had one of the greatest, albeit immoral, goals of all time. His vision of wanting to purge this world of all Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, and anyone else who didn't fit his definition of a perfect race. His perfect race, the Aryan race, composed of blond-haired, blue-eyed Caucasians, gave him purpose and the power to inspire others. Although he was unable to realize his vision, he still fought for it until the end of his life. One of Hitler's most outstanding leadership qualities was his eloquence. Being eloquent means being fluent and persuasive in speaking. Hitler would stir up the masses with his fervent speeches. Hitler knew how to appeal to people's basest instincts and made use of their fears and insecurities. This was one of Hitler's greatest assets. He was able to make his audience so passionate and zealous about his goals, that they would follow him regardless of what he said. Imagine in what... middle of paper... Itler was in many ways an inspirational leader and did a lot of good for Germany. Under his rule, he provided employment and stabilized the economy, allowing Germany to emerge from the economic depression that was plaguing the rest of the world. However, I understand that most people on this planet would say that Hitler was a horrible human being, but many don't want to acknowledge that he was a great leader and many people may not agree that he was a great leader because he brought Germany to another loss, but this was inevitable because a man cannot stand against the world and hope to win. However, Hitler exemplified qualities such as having vision, being eloquent, charismatic, tyrannical, and strong-willed, which are necessary for a strong leader. Hitler was one of the greatest leaders of all time and should be a guide for future leaders who wish to improve the world.
