Ethical Issues for Today's Managers Managers today have many responsibilities. A manager is responsible for hiring, training, motivating; along with many other things. When dealing with their managers, they must ensure that every step they take is ethical. Hiring In this process, management must recruit and interview potential employees. They can do this by posting job advertisements. With the job posting, the manager or HR (human resources) must be ethical when posting new positions. “Job advertisements must accurately reflect the duties, responsibilities and skills of the positions offered. It is also up to HR to ignore hiring managers who circumvent existing “promote from within” policies by advertising externally first, timing ads around employee vacations they don't want to consider, or expanding education requirements to disqualify internal candidates".
