WITH THE RIGHT TO VOTE, WOMEN HAVE ACHIEVED POLITICAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT IN COLOMBIA.INTODUCTIONThe woman is considered a fundamental part of the family unit, responsible for household and child care care that show a social gender inequality that exists and is latent today, which leads to an uncontrollable abyss of situations that threaten the dignity of women, but despite this several events have occurred that have made it possible to demonstrate that they are not the weaker sex and that, on the contrary, according to the ideas they have, they have achieved significant progress that generates changes at a social level and that, although it is true, the steps are small but decisive in terms of political and social development. WOMAN AS A POLITICAL AND SOCIAL SUBJECTIn Colombia, as in other countries, women have remained in a tireless struggle for their rights and gender equality, through social movements has been characterized by great events, first of all women were seen as a sexual object. Regarding the reproduction of children, the role was focused on the family, as the woman took care of the education of the children, domestic services and a priority attention to married life. This conception was maintained from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. It was during this time that women began to question their role in society. For this reason, the courage of some women and the decision of a few allowed the participation and development of women, which in other countries was already a fact; It is then that women gain the right to identity, education, work, social equality and to vote. The struggle of women in the world is... in the center of the card... stronger and aware that her struggle is not over yet and that there is still a long way to go to achieve further progress. Nowadays, women have changed drastically in their role as participants in conquests, but they still cannot ignore the fact that they are the center of the family. Being a parent will not push her into the background, even if it is true that she is more autonomous. in decisions, in actions, in rights, but still experiences great problems which are also caused by situations framed against women where not only the physical integrity but also the life of the woman is threatened, being the object of strong rejection and even if one speaks of equity, this is not a process in which women are given much consideration, there are still many things to achieve, in which battles are always won in favor of women every day.
